Born and raised just outside of Chicago, he developed a passion for literature and storytelling from a young age. As the publisher and lead writer at Tree Fort Books, Anthony has been at the forefront of curating and crafting compelling narratives. His literary influences include renowned figures such as Edgar Allan Poe, Dorothy Parker, and the Grimm Brothers, whose works have shaped his own creative approach.

Beyond his literary pursuits, Anthony possesses a keen interest in the local fauna, with a particular fascination for the Joro spider. This curiosity about the natural world often finds its way into his writing, adding a unique and authentic dimension to his stories.

Recently, Anthony achieved a significant milestone in his career by completing his first book, titled “The Raging Giant Blue Goldfish: 22 Short Stories.” This collection showcases his versatility as a writer, offering readers a diverse range of tales that span genres and captivate the imagination. With his commitment to the written word and a deep understanding of storytelling, Anthony Trendl continues to make meaningful contributions to the world of literature through Tree Fort Books.

I would love to come to your event and present his stories and talk about great books and writing. I’m happy to do virtual talks as well.

My delivery style is somewhere between folksy, film noir, and spooky, depending on the tale.
