Speaking

I’m available to speak virtually or in person. Most of my topics can be delivered in three durations: 15, 30, and 45 minutes.

High-energy, engaging, playful and educational — expect your audience to have some fun while learning something useful.

When I perform my stories (or the classics), my delivery style is somewhere between folksy, film noir, and spooky, depending on the tale.

  I adapt my presentation to fit any audience. Complete with props.

  How to use the five senses to develop tone, mood, character, and setting.
  Audience: Fifth grade+
• Real World Writing
  I cut through the malarkey and explain what a career in writing can look like.
  Audience: Literature classes, as well younger readers
• Why Literature Should Matter to Math Students
  I announce my discovery of the end of pi, and help mathematicians appreciate great writing.
  Audience: Math teachers, high school school students, math education students
