An Anthony Trendl Author Visit

I’ll tell you how I started writing at age 6, declaring to the world I would be a writer someday. I’ll explain how in first grade wrote about soft boiled eggs. I’ll work my way through to college and beyond, always focusing on writing. It won’t be about me though. It’ll be about the children understanding the mindset of a writer.

I’ll talk about my favorite books and how often I visited the library as a child (a lot!). All good writers are good readers.

I’ll address character development, creativity, how to capture real voices, and more.

For older kids, I’ll work in a story or two about my life as a professional speechwriter.

I’ll be funny, honest, and ready for whatever questions they’ve got.

Learn about some specialized speaking topics.

Age Group?

I have two age groups for my books. One is for 3rd grade and up, and the other one is for high school end up. I’m happy to talk through with you the distinctions so you can make a good decision.

I can speak three times a day, allowing you to organize your readers anyway you like.

Performances?

I’m a ham. If you like, I’m happy to work in performing a few tales. 

How Long?

Tailored to the audience, 45 minutes to an hour.

Group Size?

I can speak from 3-3,000,000. Since my talks are customized, I adapt them to however large the group is.

Writing Workshops?

You bet! Smaller groups are best – 20 kids or fewer. For larger groups, I would like the help of a local teacher.

Zoom?

Yes! With Zoom, I can share things easily. I have a package I send to help teachers prepare the kids so that we can have a great meeting.

Autographs?

I have a lot of fun doing this. it gives me a chance to encourage each reader personally.
